Diy Conservatories for You. With so many options for your new conservatory, what do I need to know?

There are two options for building the base: Traditional build or Durabase steel base. The traditional build removes much dirt to create a 600w x 1-metre deep trench footing filled with C20 Concrete. This method requires a concrete mixer company to pump the ready-mixed C20 into the new foundations and skip away the spoil. The second option, the Durabase steel base, is much faster and reduces waste and mess on the site, as there is no need to dig large footings, only 450 x 450 x 450 padstone in locations that will come with the instructions from Durabase.

Durabase
There are two options available: Durabase standard, suitable for any conservatory or garden room that doesn't require insulation or any specific building requirements, and DurabasePlus 100, which exceeds all minimum building regulation requirements and can be approved for building regulation through JHAI. DurabasePlus 100 bases can be ready in just one day, eliminating the need for skilled tradespeople, such as bricklayers, as the walls are modular with bricks of your choice already installed at the factory. Most Conservatories feature a 600mm dwarf wall with an internal window cill to complete the aesthetics. If you're building a new extension, you'll need a Fire-rated wall for the neighbour's side. You can choose to install Bi-Fold doors or French doors in your garden.
